It’s the third full day of the 2024 Paris Olympics, and we have the full schedule today. Frederick Richard, Brody Malone and the United States men’s gymnastics team compete in the group final. Today’s Olympic swimming schedule consists of five finals, with US backstroker Ryan Murphy and breaststroker Lilly King topping the list.
The US women’s basketball team is playing for the first time in the 2024 Olympics, facing Japan.

- The men’s gymnastics team finals starts at 11:30 a.m. The US men are aiming to win the medal for the first time since 2008.

The U.S. women begin their quest for an eighth consecutive Olympic gold medal. The Americans, ranked No. 1 in the world, playing No. 9 Japan. The US and Japan are joined by Germany and Belgium in the competition.
Olympic swimming today: What to watch
Ryan Murphy has been one of the world’s best backstrokers, winning gold at the 2023 world championships in the 100m backstroke. He also took silver in the 200 back at worlds and led the USA to a gold medal in the 4×100 medley relay. At the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Murphy won gold medals in the 100 and 200 back. He comes to Paris with six Olympic medals.
It could be a big night at the pool for Americans. Lilly King is the medal favorite in the women’s 100 breaststroke. King has won medals at the last two Olympics in this event (gold in Rio and bronze in Tokyo).
